- Provides a means to foster contact between homeschool groups in Alaska through publications and presentation of seminars.
- Encourages family participation.
- Features at least one keynote speaker who is well-known in the field of home education.
- Provides workshops conducted by the keynote speaker, other special speakers, and by local teachers and parent educators.
- Vendor Hall: an excellent opportunity to obtain information from vendors knowledgeable in various curricula, to get a hands-on look at curriculum displays and supplementary materials, as well as purchase curricula, literature, supplements, and other teaching materials.
